Curtainwall is an exterior building wall framework assembly carrying no roof or floor loads; consisting of metal, glass and other surfacing material, and hung from the face or top of the floor slabs. The curtainwall can represent the entire skin of a building or a portion of the exterior facade.

Window wall extends from the top of one floor to the underside of the floor below, or in tall horizontal strips.
